Principal's Message
Hello Everyone,
This was a week filled with excitement, wonderings, making friends, making mistakes, learning new expectations, helping each other, and trusting the process. We started off the week with showing our students their new classrooms, teachers, and support staff. Our TK and K parents had an opportunity to walk their children to their classrooms. Lets not forget the Earthquake and leadership it took for students and staff to execute the drop and cover emergency procedure. Everyone was amazing. We ended the week with our first Friday Assembly of the year. The take away word of wisdom message for the week is that it's okay to admit if you do not know because by accepting that we don't know will we then be able to find the answer the answer.
Thank you everyone for an exciting first week of school. As a reminder, starting next week, Monday, August 19th, students will be marked tardy if they arrive after 7:45AM. Parents will now be required to walk their child to GATE 2 and sign-in their child. Lets help our students arrive to school on time daily. We also have our Parent Advisory Orientation and Election meeting on Tuesday, August 20th at 8:00AM. Out first general PTA Meeting will be via zoom Tuesday, August 20th at 6:00PM. Please participate. Lastly as a reminder, Wilcox Elementary School is a Nut free School. Do send your children to school with any food containing nuts or peanut butter. The health and safety of our students depend on it. Thank you families and Go Wildcats!
Sincerely,
Ms. Fernandez
